Denmark is the most digital country in Europe

Once again, Denmark tops the list as the EU’s most digitalized country according to the European Commissions’ recently released index of digitalization in the EU member countries.

The European countries all improved on the different parameters, in the annual Digital Economy and Society Index (DESI), although Denmark preserved its leading position in 2016. The position is maintained by, i.e., a wide usage of digital technologies amongst citizenry and businesses.

The DESI is comprised of the five principal policy areas: Connectivity, Human Capital/Digital Skills, Use of Internet, Integration of Digital Technology, and Digital Public Services.
