Dialogue meeting: Video consultations and video visits in social care and healthcare

On April 26th 2019, a scaled deployment of video consultations and video visits in social care and healthcare were discussed as Welfare Tech gathered 100 representatives from the Danish Ecosystem.

In the Danish regions (manage hospitals) and in the municipalities (manage homecare) there is currently a commitment to the scaled deployment of video consultations and screen visits across sectors and specialities. The “video” approach applies both to the somatic and the psychiatric area and to a large extent to homecare as well. Here, visits are replaced with "screen visits” and “safety calls".

At the dialogue meeting, the focus was on opportunities, both organisationally and technically, as well as potential collaborations that can boost the deployment of screen visits and video consultations.

The participants represented municipalities, hospitals, regions, knowledge institutions, companies, interest organisations and consultants.

The purpose of the dialogue meeting was to kick-start some network groups within the topic and to create a platform for exchange of experience and knowledge sharing on current and future welfare technology solutions so better solutions are developed and implemented.

The following companies presented their solutions at the meeting: Applikator, ATEA , Hejdoktor.dk, IBG Proreact, Kara Connect, KMD, Life-Partners A/S, Liva Healthcare, MedWare ApS, Sundhedsekspressen, Monsenso ApS, Roche, and Tunstall Health.
