Profile of the month: SUMA Care
SUMA Care develops and implements technological solutions, that improves the quality of life for citizens living with incontinence. E.g. the product, Wear&Care. SUMA Care is profile of the month in May.
SUMA Care is behind the development and implementation of Wear&Care, a small sensor that can register the amount of fluid in diapers. The sensor assists in reducing the consumption of diapers. The sensor and a data log reduce the number of unnecessary diaper changes and give notice to the healthcare staff if the diaper needs to be changed.
Below SUMA Cares Product Manager, Anne Cordel, tells about SUMA Care’s main competencies, being a member of Welfare Tech and what SUMA Care currently is working on.
Why is SUMA Care a member of Welfare Tech?
- Suma Care is a member of Welfare Tech because it is a good network consisting of both private and public players, with a focus on healthcare and home care technology. Welfare Tech and members of the cluster create an excellent platform to listen to product requirements by the Danish municipalities and thereby targeting our products the best possible way to the market.
What are the most significant challenges, and tendencies in the healthcare and home care market right now?
- Besides closing agreements on the Danish market, Germany is our biggest focus right now. We have established a subsidiary in Germany, and we have high expectations for the German market - not least for our new German colleagues. They experience a high demand for our product, Wear&Care. We also have interested customers in Norway, and we soon start a pilot project there. With help from Welfare Tech, we have established cooperation with a strong Norwegian distributor.
